Alberta Health Services (AHS) has published a profile on the impact of the Dental Outreach of Red Deer (DOoR) program. The video and article feature Sylvan Lake dentist Dr. Kelvin Hill and Registered Dental Assistant Deborah Bone-Dyck, whose efforts ensure that children in central Alberta receive the care they need, even when their families can’t afford it.
The DOoR program has quietly been changing lives across central Alberta. Run through AHS, DOoR offers free dental care to children ages 5 to 18 who are living with urgent needs: pain, visible decay, infections, broken teeth—issues that can’t wait but often do, especially for families without insurance coverage or enough income to cover the cost out of pocket.
