Through the power of collaboration across the global dental community, Alberta dentists are helping the people of Ukraine and making a positive impact. The goal of the Alberta Dentists for Ukraine fundraising mission is to purchase and outfit mobile dental units to reach communities across Ukraine.
The Alberta Dental Association (ADA) is proud to partner with Firefighter Aid Ukraine (FFAU) to provide dental equipment and supplies directly to those who need them in Ukraine.

Campaign Goal
In 2023, the ADA mobilized the Alberta dental community to collect funds and surplus dental equipment to redirect to Ukraine. Now, the ADA has launched Alberta Dentists for Ukraine to unite the dental community in purchasing and outfitting mobile dental units for general dental and emergency surgical care.
The ADA’s aim in 2024 is to raise $100,000 in donations to outfit three Alberta Dentists for Ukraine mobile units and deliver them safely and directly to our dental colleagues in Ukraine, with the help of our logistics partner, FFAU.

About Firefighter Aid Ukraine
Firefighter Aid Ukraine (FFAU), established in 2014, has delivered more than 300 tonnes of high value rescue tools, personal protective equipment, medical/first aid supplies and consumables, surgical and diagnostic equipment. FFAU began conducting specialty rescue training programs, including advanced first aid, in 2023. Additionally, FFAU has delivered an explosives detection trained K9, demining drones, and assisted in building of a wing and purchase of an emergency generator for Misto Dobra shelter in Chernivtsi.
FFAU creation was inspired by a Rotary Group Study Exchange in 2014 after Program Director, Kevin Royle, saw the conditions firefighters were working in and the equipment they were using. With the help of Rotary Clubs in Alberta and across Ukraine, FFAU has worked with communities in every corner of the country and Rotary District 2232.
