Oral health is a huge part of our overall health, yet not everyone has equitable access to oral health services. This is why Alberta’s dentists have created the Alberta Dental Association Community Assistance Fund through the Edmonton Community Foundation.
Established in 2010, the fund provides financial support to Albertans facing barriers to oral health services. Since 2012, it has awarded over $121,000 to community programs and organizations across the province, helping more people receive the care they need.
Some of the projects that this fund has supported include:
- Community dental services at Radius Health and Healing (formerly the Boyle McCauley Health Centre) in Edmonton
- The Oral Health Clinic at the Mike Petryk School of Dentistry
- The Alex Community Health Centre in Calgary
- Camrose Open Door Association
Join us in removing barriers to oral health and help more Albertans enjoy healthy smiles.
